Principal's Message Term 2, Week 6
Real Time Reporting will appear on your @schoolapp with Spotlight notifications. You can also access the @school app on your laptop by logging into www.atschool.co.nz
Kia ora,
Next year Fairfield School is 60 years young. We are planning on holding our celebrations over Queens birthday weekend. This will be finalised soon and shared with you. If you would like to support the organising committee, please contact me. We would welcome the support.
Below are a few repeat notices from last week. The information on real-time reporting is important to read and understand otherwise you will not be receiving your child's report information.
The same can be said for sports information. The sports information will cut back on confusion.
School Board Elections
The next Fairfield School Board elections will be held on Wednesday 7 September. Additional information will be shared on the process in the near future.
Police Obstacle Course
The police are setting up a fun obstacle course for students from Years 1- 8 on Wednesday 8th June.
It will start at 10 am and finish around 12:30 pm. We will share pictures on Facebook.
The course is around 30 metres and takes about 20 secs to go through. The students can race each other.
This should be fun for the students and some adults...
Real-Time Reporting
A key focus for real-time reporting is for parents to comment on their child's work. The students are eagerly waiting to see their parents' feedback.
See below for information on our new reporting system that went live last week.
The new platform for the reporting will be on your @school app. Many of you have signed up for the @school app. If you haven't, the instructions are below. The Spotlight function for reporting will appear on parent/caregiver's phones in Week 4. You will see the first reporting post during the week of week 4. You will have the option to post a comment to your child about their learning progress. Your will be be eagerly awaiting your response to their learning! Just click on the comment box.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your classroom teacher or to me, Mr. Maclean.

Sports Update
Over the past two years we have been transitioning to online communications for all school notices and sports updates. Once the school receives information relating to an upcoming sports opportunity it is posted via the @schoolapp as a ‘digital permission slip’.
Checking the school website ‘sports’ tab (sports page) and @schoolapp regularly will ensure you do not miss a deadline for entering your child in a sport.
Please be understanding that teachers helping to organise a sport are also focused on providing the best learning experience for tamariki in their learning spaces, therefore they are not able to answer sports questions during teaching time. You will find team lists, draws and information relating to a sport on the school website. Add link
If you have any other questions about a sports opportunity please email sports@fairfieldlevin.school.nz and it will be answered as soon as possible.
