School Data

I would like to share achievement data at Fairfield School. As in every year, the school sets up system and structures to ensure all students are given opportunities to succeed. This year we have seen of all the students from Year 4 that have sat the PAT assessment, 82% are either achieving at or above expectations.

Waiopehu College

Waiopehu College staff have indicated that they are available to come into Fairfield school to talk with parents of prospective students enrolling for 2025. Waiopehu College staff can assist with filling out forms. If you would like to arrange a time and date please contact jhicks@fairfieldlevin.school.nz

SUMMER READING OFFER 📕

Your child will have taken home a Summer Reading brochure from Duffy Books. Parents can purchase books from this catalogue for just $5 to keep their child's love of reading fostered over the summer break or even as a Christmas gift.  If you would like to order books, please fill out the form and put the correct amount in an envelope and return it to your child's classroom teacher by Friday 15th November. Please ensure you write your child's name and room number on the form and envelope. Unfortunately we are unable to use Kindo for this offer.

Fairfield Artwork

Congratulations to our ākonga/students whose visual artwork is now being displayed at Ō2NL offices in Wellington and Auckland. Their art work is a visual representation of our local area to inspire the project team. Thank you to our ākonga and kaiako/teachers for your support in making this become a reality. Thank you also to Jenny Warren, Muaūpoko, for affording our kura/school this opportunity!

🎨 Amazing Art!

Mrs Mackay spent two days with Room 6 this week. The tamariki created some amazing multimedia animal collages using paper, oil pastels, vivid, Indian ink and glitter! Awesome mahi Room 6!

Student Achievements

Last week Beatrice represented the school at an inter-school tennis tournament in Palmerston North.  She won her grade and will now go to the regional finals. Huge congratulations Beatrice!

Cultural Day Tuesday 3rd December

At Fairfield School we celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures through a range of cultural activities. On Tuesday 3rd December we invite all students and families to celebrate their culture. Your child may wish to celebrate the cultural day by wearing a special item of clothing, bringing a flag, a special item, or sharing a little of their language. We also invite whānau/families to come to school at 1.35pm and eat lunch with their child (by bringing a packed lunch). This year, instead of having shared food we ask our families if possible to bring a can of food/packaged food such as pasta, rice(non-perishable item) OR a New Unwrapped to support the Pack the Bus campaign. This heart-warming initiative aims to make this festive season brighter for local children and families in need. Horowhenua District Council and key sponsors, will hit the road with a mission—to fill a bus with love, warmth, and gifts for those who could use an extra dose of holiday magic. Fairfield School will help fill that bus!
