Principal's Message, Term 2, Week 9
The school term is nearly at an end. Next week we close for Term 3 on Friday. We welcome all students back to school on Monday, July 25.
Kia ora,
Featured in our photo above is Harper Huria.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Harper's Nan, who donated these wonderful books to our new school library
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-teacher-student conferences will be held on Tuesday 2nd August and Wednesday 3rd August. Tuesday 2nd August will be a half-day. The school will close at 12:30 p.m., with conferences beginning at 1 p.m. To book your child's learning conference, please go to the School Interviews website www.schoolinterviews.co.nz and enter the code qdjcm
Each conference will be held at school, in your chid's classroom. The conferences provide the perfect opportunity for you to discuss your child's online report, which will be published on your @School app during week 10 of this term. These reports will be sent via the app rather than printed versions.
We ask that when you visit your teacher that you wear a mask to keep yourself and our teachers safe.
Planting our donated feijoa trees
A BIG Thank you to Mitre 10 and Aleena La'ulu
Matariki is a very special time to plant trees, it is also wonderful to know where our food comes from which is also important to teach our children. Caring for a tree and seeing the produce that comes from trees for years to come is the gift that keeps on giving.
We would like to thank Mitre 10 for donating 2 thriving feijoa trees to start our school orchard and to Aleena La'ulu for organising this wonderful opportunity.
Amazing artwork from our students.
