Congratulations to Amelia W for gaining a highly commended in the 'Write On School For Young Writers' competition for Issue 58: It's Only Natural.

Native Area

I hear a breezy wind rustling the leaves, the baby birds chirping lightly to the morning air. Green beige trees are surrounding me. I see native Piwakawaka jumping from branch to branch. Kererus are swooping down and Perepere is singing a beautiful melody. Clouds as white as gardenia smudge the blue sky. I taste my red apple washing down my thoughts. I smell blossoms that smell like a flower shop. I feel calm.
