An evening with Karen Campbell - behavioural specialist

Fendalton School —

Fendalton School will be hosting a parent workshop with Karen Campbell, a behavioural specialist. This free session aims to empower parents and explain how behaviour is a form of communication. RSVP to Helen at school.

The workshop will be held WEDNESDAY 2nd  JUNE at 7 pm in the staffroom.

Parent Workshop

  • Are there some behaviours in the home from your child or children that are impacting the family dynamic?
  • Are you tired of saying the same thing or do you feel like you are repeating reasonable requests over and over again?
  • Does your child have a diagnosis but
  • you are still unsure of how to respond to certain behaviours?
  • Does your child experience anxiety, have tantrums or finds it difficult to follow adult instructions?

Karen Campbell is a behaviour specialist who has studied and worked in the behaviour field for over twenty years. She has a Master degree and has studied psychology, counselling and applied behaviour analysis. She is passionate about helping parents to manage challenging behaviour in the home so that the family can connect and communicate positively together.

Karen believes many behaviours can be prevented or managed if parents have a basic understanding of ‘behaviour principles’ that are proven to work.

Karen is offering a free one-hour presentation titled ‘Behaviour is Communication’ to all parents followed by a half-hour question time.

She can be contacted via her website childbehaviourservice.co.nz
