Attendance has been very topical in the news lately. We are fortunate that at Fendalton School the majority of children have excellent attendance. The guidelines suggested is that 4 days leave per term is acceptable but we also respect that illness and family circumstances can impact and require more leave at times. Lateness is another issue. Children who are regularly late are missing some key time that sets up their day for success in regards to learning and also for making the connections with staff and friends. We encourage all children to be at school prior to 9 o'clock so they are into a good routine and they are set for each day. Everyone feels better when their day gets off to a great start.
