West Zone Cross Country

The West Zone Cross Country was held on Thursday 25 May in clear but muddy conditions. Quite a few carried a shoe which had been stuck in mud across the finish line! The students all competed strongly in the course at Haslwell Quarry and can be proud of their efforts.

We had 10 students qualify for the Primary Sports Canterbury Cross Country Champs on Wednesday 21 June.

We had three grade winners – Jake B in the Year 6 Boys, Amber DW in the Year 5 Girls, (who was 35 seconds faster than the next runner Amy Z,) and Ashley S was placed 1st in the Year 4 Girls.

The Year 6 Boys were dominant, taking out the first three places. Jake followed by Lachlan H and 3rd placed was Jayden P.  Chloe McN - 3rd, Jess J 4th and Isabella P (6th) make up the Year 6 West Zone team,  Year 5  - Ethan M - (3rd) and Greta J (6th)

Year 4s cannot qualify for Centrals.  Ashley S was 1st, Trelise F 3rd, and Holly D 6th. Joshua B was placed 4th in the Year 4 Boys Race.
