Rebuild of Tūora Fendalton School

Fendalton School —

After the earthquakes, all Christchurch schools entered the Christchurch Schools Rebuild (CSR) programme to rebuild and repair 115 schools in greater Christchurch. Our school has experienced some false starts but we are delighted to be well into the design phase with construction starting in 2023.

Our rebuild reflects our educational brief and vision with a strong pedagogical commitment to our school values of Relationships - Whanauangtanga, Respect - Whakaute and Relevance - Whaitake and with the 'learners at the centre' of our decision making.

Our rebuild also reflects our cultural narrative and the stories of our past will be evident in aspects of the design, colour palette, landscaping and the naming of learning spaces. We are delighted to be able to share the detailed design on our website for you to view.
