Year 6 Wainui Camp

Fendalton School —

Some quick photos from the Year 6 Camp to Wainui. The campers experienced all weathers, but still managed to have an amazing time.

Year 6 Camp memories -

“He he, the funniest moment was when we jumped into the water to swim onto the other island. Seeing everyone jump and drift into the rope while doggie paddling was so funny, (and cold!)” By Sharon.

Coaststeering was hard. I used my courage to jump off the huge Papa Bear Rock. I didn’t give up and kept calm.” By Elijah.

“It was so windy and cold that I could barely feel my hands. The ground was very slippery so I slipped a few times and slid down the hill. I got covered in mud!” By Ray.

“My favourite was coaststeering because I got to jump off a cliff and I had to be courageous.” By Will.

“The Flying Fox was one of my favourites because it felt like you were flying as you zoomed down. It was fun pretending that something was chasing you.” By Amelia.

“My funniest moment was during Diamond Smuggling and running down the hill. I was trying to get to the base to earn my stripes, running at full speed. A parent came looming towards me to catch me. I turned around to escape them and fell over, splat and got caught!” By Zunairah

“High Ropes was superfun. It was thrilling when my partner Sharon and I worked together to get to the top. At the top we cheered loudly to the people below and flew our way down to the belayers.” By Isabelle.
