PTA News There are some important reminders this week, so please read on.

Working Bee Postponed

The working bee was to have been this Sunday 24 March. However, it takes a good deal of preparation from the senior management team and with the events of Friday their attention has understandably been elsewhere. So we have a new date of Sunday 7 April, 10 - 12 noon. Please make a note in your diary and see you there.

Hi, I’m Joyce and I’m mum to Aidan in Year 6 and Sari in Year 2. I’m taking over from Sarah Bourke as the Chair for Fendalton School PTA. As many of you will know, Sarah has been such a wonderful Chair for the PTA, with her boundless energy, warmth and enthusiasm. I look forward to my year at the helm and working together with our parents and teachers within the school community to make us an even more caring, wonderful and thoughtful family that’s the Fendalton School family.’

Hello, my name is Mari Dennis and I’m delighted to be taking on the role as Deputy Chair. I have 3 boys; Matthew in year 8 at Cobham, Rory in year 4 and Tom in year 3. I am Irish and married to a Christchurch man, Simon. We moved here 2 years ago from London and have really appreciated how friendly and welcoming the FOS community is. If you see me around the school, please come and say hello - I always have time for a chat!

Hello, I'm Michelle, stepping into the PTA Secretary role at Fendalton School. I am a mom of two boys, James in year 4 and Michael year 7. We are from South Africa and have been in New Zealand close on a year now. The PTA has certainly been a wonderful place for me to connect with parents and get to know the school community this past year. I am excited for the year ahead and all the wonderful projects we will be working on together for our beautiful school.

I’m Jennie and I’m the fourth member of the PTA team and have been the treasurer for the past two years. I’m Canterbury born and bred and mum to James in year 5 and an older daughter McKenzie. I have really enjoyed being part of the team which has brought PTA events and projects to school and look forward to working with the new team.

Spring Bulb Fundraiser

Please get your orders in by tomorrow Friday 22 March. Put them into the PTA dropbox in the office. If you need another order form they are at the office. Remember 20% of the total comes back to the school. Thanks for your support!

Next Uniform Sale

The next second-hand uniform sale is on Friday 29 March in Take 5 from 8.30 - 9.30am. If you have uniform to sell please go to the uniform page on the school website and read what to do. Thanks to our helpful mums Sonya and Joyce who run this every month.

Next PTA Meeting 

Our next PTA meeting is on Monday 1 April at 7pm in the staffroom. Anyone from our school community is invited to come along. All welcome!

Entertainment Book Fundraiser

This is a digital or hard copy book of vouchers to use at retailers and restaurants all over Canterbury from June 2019 - June 2020. Buying earlier gets you some extra early bird vouchers.
