Fendalton School —

Halloween Disco thanks!

OOH, it was spooky and lots of fun! Thanks to all the kids and families who came along. Great to see whole families dressing up and having a great time together. The disco takes a lot of effort so if you were one of the 40 parents and teachers who helped us on the night a big thanks to you, we really appreciate it. And special thanks to Joyce Wee and Kat Parsons for designing new decorations, Amy and Todd Haglund at Dynamite Signs for printing them, Katrina and Tim Forman for donating decorations and to the fabulous granddads at the MENZ shed who made our new photo booth and pumpkin. We had the excitement of a fire alarm during the senior disco which was handled so calmly by the teachers and the children. Disco photos below.

Working Bee thanks!

The tradition of the working bee is as kiwi as the Picton ferry and pineapple lumps! We had thirty wonderful parents and teachers who turned up to help us, with kids in tow, and all worked so hard to complete the to-do list. We are thrilled with what we achieved. And to the four mums who made morning tea, thank you so much. Please note someone lost a brown bristle outdoor broom on the day and there is an orange bristle outdoor broom left at school. Please check yours if you brought one along. There was also a men's grey sweatshirt left at school. Both items in the office. Photos below.

Planning PTA events for 2019

This Monday 5 November at 7 pm in the staffroom we have our regular monthly PTA meeting. At this meeting, we will be planning the events for next year. If you have ideas or want to have a say in what we plan, please come along, you are very welcome! If you can't make it but have something to add please email pta@fendalton.school.nz.

Read Feed Speed - Thursday 15 Nov

This is our super special day for all the important men in our children's lives. The school will send out more information but the PTA runs the BBQ. Thanks to Craig Wilson from Gregg Builders we have whopper BBQ and to Hellers who have donated over 900 sausages! While all the dads, granddads and uncles are busy reading and playing, we require a big team of mums, aunties and nanas to help cook the sausages from about 11 - 1pm. If you can help please email: pta@fendalton.school.nz
