Uniform
The wearing of a school uniform has been part of Fendalton School since 1928. We see the wearing of our uniform as a mark of our high standards and pride in the school.
- All pupils are expected to wear the Fendalton School uniform to and from school and during school.
- The Summer uniform is worn during terms 1 and 4. The Winter uniform is worn during terms 2 and 3.
- The Fendalton sports uniform is worn for formal PE, sporting activities and special sporting occasions. It may be worn every Friday to school.
- The Fendalton performance uniform is worn for formal cultural performances. This uniform is made up of existing winter uniform items except a white shirt for boys which is issued from the library.
- When sporting/performance uniforms are issued by the school, the student and parents are responsible for ensuring other items of clothing as specified by the coach/teacher (eg. socks, footwear, mouthguards) are provided. Failure to do this may mean the child is unable to participate in the event.
- When uniforms are issued by the school, they must be returned by the requested date, in good condition. Failure to do so will result in a bill being incurred for replacement value.
- The uniform is approved by the Board of Trustees. Any major modifications decided by the Board will reflect consultation with the school community and have a phase-in period.
- All long hair must be tied up for health reasons.
