Canterbury Junior Robocup 2023
On Sunday 13th August six of our Year 6 Robotics students participated in the Rescue division of the Robocup Junior Competition 2023 at Tūranga (Christchurch Library), against teams from other Canterbury schools. They were Genevive R, Samuel M, David T, Hugo M, Sharon S and Ella K.
This was a very challenging day for the students, with many experiences of problem-solving cropping up throughout the day. It created many opportunities for students to support each other and use teamwork. Our Fendalton students were outstanding at this, so can be congratulated on the way they coped with unfamiliar situations.
Congratulations to Samuel M and David T who were placed second and third in the Junior Rescue division. Wonderful achievement!
