School drop off and pick-up zone.

David Taylor —

The school management have set-up a parent drop-off/pick-up area at the front of the school. This is to meet Ministry of Education guidelines regarding track and tracing. We ask parents not to go to classrooms at this time.

We do acknowledge that for some families the return to school will be filled with some nervousness and anxiety. Rest assured we are doing our best to make the school as welcoming for your child as possible. A number of teachers will be at the front gate ready to direct children to their classes.

Ultimately this procedure is introduced to help reduce congestion at the school entrance, avoid track and tracing registers for all parents and to develop effect social distancing measures.

This parent drop-off zone will allow parents to accompany children across the school crossing, but it is not a place to wait and socialise. This is also where students are to assemble in the afternoon for collection and crossing into the school carpark.

It is intended as a "subway', a place that we pass into and out of quickly and keep moving. Thank you for your support.

If for any special reason as a parent you need to venture further into the school, you will need to go to the school office (Waekura) and complete a registration sign in.

At the end of the day, we ask that parents wait in/or beside their car for their students to come out. Children can then be escorted over the road or collected from the drop off/pick-up zone.
