Children to dress up as their favourite book character

It will be on Thursday during the school's Scholastic Book Fair week celebration. Students and staff will spend the day dressed as their favourite book character.

Dr. Seuss characters, Cats in the Hat, Roald Dahl characters, Fairy-tale characters, Harry Potters, Pippi Longstockings, Witches, Pirates, Animal characters and all manner of other storybook and fictional characters will be happening at Fernside School.

Thursday 22nd November is dress up day! Children come dressed as one of their favourite book characters. Let your imagination run wild and be creative! Bring your book along and be prepared to share your knowledge of your favourite character. Certificates will be awarded for the 'Best Costume' in each class.

We would love to have some guest readers during Book Week. If you or someone you know would like to come and read to a class please email jasmine@fernside.school.nz

Bring a Picture Book to School

Encourage your children to bring a favourite picture book from home to share with their class. The book should be named and in their reading book bag.
