Information for Stevie Nicks with special guest Pretenders

Forsyth Barr Stadium —

Following is some useful information to assist patrons to get the most enjoyment from your evening. Please read this information thoroughly before the concert.

What parking is available around the Stadium? Limited car parking is available in the immediate area surrounding the Stadium. Limited car parking is available in the East End car park for $15 cash only and this will be open from 5pm. Traffic will be extremely heavy, so the closer you park to the Stadium, the longer it will take you to leave the area after the concert. There is now a walkway linking the wharf area from Wickliffe Street near the corner of Fryatt Street to Forsyth Barr Stadium. There is free car parking all around this harbour area.

There are normal timetabled bus services from the city centre to the Albany/Forth Streets area. To check timetables go to www.orc.govt.nz. Bike stands will be available outside the Stadium for cyclists.

Road Restrictions: Road restrictions will be in place in the immediate vicinity of Forsyth Barr Stadium from 4pm on Saturday. There are two public drop off locations and taxi ranks on the north side of the Stadium on Anzac Avenue beside Logan Park. At the end of the concert, the section of Anzac Avenue immediately outside of the Stadium will be closed for approximately 30 minutes to allow concert goers to exit safely. For patrons requiring to be picked up close to the Stadium, it is anticipated vehicle access will resume by 11:30pm. Taxis will be able to access the Stadium to drop off and pick up patrons at the designated locations.

Taxis: Dunedin’s taxi companies will be very busy so we recommend you pre book for both legs of the journey. Taxi companies can drop off and pick up on the north side of the Stadium on Anzac Avenue beside Logan Park.

Where do I pick-up my tickets? If you selected the ‘Venue Pickup’ option and have not already collected your tickets you should collect them from the Forsyth Barr Stadium reception at Gate J, open Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm before the day of the concert. If you cannot pick up your tickets until the day of the concert this can be done from the Speight’s Stand Box Office near Gate A from 12 noon. If you selected the ‘Print-at-Home’ as your ticket delivery option, please ensure you print off your ticket before the concert - Print-at-Home tickets cannot be collected from Forsyth Barr Stadium.

All patrons, regardless of age attending the concert must have a valid ticket. Minors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver/companion at the event. Live Nation recommends that young children do not attend due to the adult content, environment and sound levels.

Entering the Stadium: Gates open at 6:00pm and the opening act, Pretenders starts at approximately 7:00pm. We highly recommend you arrive in plenty of time before the start of the show to avoid queues and to soak up the atmosphere! Please note that people located on the field may need to use stairs to access this area. If you have restricted mobility, please ensure you advise Stadium staff upon your arrival.

Please double check your ticket for the correct Gate entry into the Stadium. Have your ticket ready to be scanned on entry and keep your ticket with you at all times. See the map showing Gate entries to the Stadium. For patrons with tickets on the field it is important you enter through the correct Gate stated on your ticket to receive your wristband to access the field standing area. Please keep your wristband and ticket with you at all times.

Once inside the Stadium, if you need assistance, please approach Stadium staff who will direct you to where your seat is located.  

Dancing and standing within the Stands: Please do not dance or stand on your seats or in aisles. If you are dancing or standing at your seat, please be considerate of those who may be sitting behind you. Please note that strobe lighting may be used during the concert.

Can I bring food and drink into the stadium?

Food and Beverage Items Permitted:

• Plastic bottles of water with seals unbroken less than 1 litre (no glass)

• Homemade food - sandwiches, cakes, fruit

• Special foods for dietary requirements

• Small tetra-pak fruit juices

Food and Beverage Items Not Permitted:

• Plastic bottles of water larger than 1 litre or with broken seals

• All alcohol

• All soft drinks

• Glass bottles and cans

• All commercial products - including crisps, takeaways, chocolates, lollies etc. This includes these being taken from packets and transferred into containers.

• Chilly bins or picnic hampers of any size, large backpacks

Am I able to buy food and drinks inside the stadium? Yes. Throughout the Stadium there are food and beverage outlets offering a wide variety of snacks, meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. 

What is the temperature inside the Stadium? Can I bring a blanket? Forsyth Barr Stadium is not completely enclosed and there will be some areas more exposed to the outdoor elements as it is a large venue. The inside temperature will generally only be 2-3 degrees higher than the outside temperature so do dress accordingly and you may like to bring a rug or blanket with you.

Will EFTPOS be available? Will there be an ATM located anywhere within the Stadium? Cash is the fastest way to buy and get back to the concert. There are no ATMs but the retail outlets have a cash out facility available. 

Can I take umbrellas into the Stadium? No.

No Smoking in the main Stadium area – please only smoke in the designated areas. 

Can I bring strollers, prams or pushchairs into the Stadium? No.

Can my child sit on my lap without a ticket? No. Live Nation recommends that young children do not attend due to the adult content, environment and sound levels. All patrons attending the concert must have their own ticket.

Can I bring a camera into the Stadium? All professional cameras (detachable lens cameras), video cameras, “selfie” sticks, iPads are not permitted. It is not permitted to record any part of the concert and no flash photography please.

Will you be subject to a contraband search upon entry into the Stadium? Yes, your bags and clothing may be subject to a contraband search. If you are caught with contraband, you will be denied access to the event.

Are you able to leave the Stadium and come back in? No, there will be no pass outs.

Can I purchase merchandise at the Stadium? Yes. There are merchandise outlets in both the Speight’s and North Stands. (see map above for locations)

Meeting Point: In the unlikely event of an emergency, please follow the instructions of Stadium staff who will direct you to your meeting point.

Mobility access: Mobility access points to Forsyth Barr Stadium:

o Gate A Speight's Stand ticket, enter via Gate J

o Gate C, mobility ramp available

o Gate D North Stand ticket, enter via Gate E

o Gate E, mobility ramp available

o Gate H Speight’s Stand ticket, enter via Gate J

o Gate H Field ticket, enter via Gate E

Mobility Parking: There are seven marked mobility car parks in the East End car park between Gates E & F. These are available on a first in, first served basis. There will be an additional 30 mobility parks allocated on Logan Park Drive. A mobility pass must be visible within the vehicle and all car park regulations must be adhered to. Once these car parks are full, disability access is offered at the drop off point only. Vehicles must leave the Stadium grounds after dropping off patrons.

Wheelchair Seating: Wheelchair spaces are available in the Speight’s and North Stands for the concert and must be booked through the Ticketmaster Call Centre. To purchase wheelchair spaces please call 0800 111 999 and mention at the time of booking if you require a wheelchair space. Please note there are only a very limited number of spaces remaining.

For patrons whose circumstances have changed since purchasing a ticket (eg a broken leg) and may require an alternate seat due to accessibility, please contact Ticketing staff at the Stadium before the day of the event - tickets@dunedinvenues.co.nz. You may be relocated to an alternate area (depending on availability), however the relocation will be for the ticketholder only.
