Ka Kite Anō Mr Coleman

Geraldine High School —

We would like to acknowledge Mr Simon Coleman, our very hard-working Tumuaki. Mr Coleman is departing our school in January 2024 to take up the Principalship at Ashburton College.

Mr Coleman has dedicated nine years of service to Geraldine High School and has had a huge impact on the school and wider community during his time here. Mr Coleman arrived at our kura nearly a decade ago with a vision, a mission, and a passion to make this school a place of growth and innovation. His dedication to making our school a ‘better place to be’ has had a positive impact on our students, staff and community.

We are all incredibly proud of the work Mr Coleman has put into the school. His passion, energy and knowledge have raised our profile and seen many changes in the classrooms. His dedication to encouraging leadership and providing opportunities for our staff and students is to be commended.

As we say goodbye, we would like to acknowledge the legacy you leave behind. Your personality, leadership and vision have definitely made a big difference to Geraldine High School’s history and have set us up for a bright future.

On behalf of the Geraldine High School community, we want to express our appreciation for your commitment, drive, enthusiasm and eccentricity during your time as our Principal. We wish you all the best in your future job (we won’t hold it against you for too long about moving to Ashcoll), and we thank you for all you have done for us! We know that the values you have instilled here will continue for many years to come.

Simon, we wish you much happiness and fulfillment as you continue your education journey at Ashburton College.
