TeenAg at MacKenzie Show
On Easter Monday 14 of our TeenAg members helped to run the Country Kids competition at the MacKenzie Highland Show for students aged 7-13. Our members ran the Shearing – assemble a hand piece, design a farm, build farm machinery, NZ products and farm dog feeding modules alongside modules from MacKenzie Young Farmers, Mackenzie College & Timaru Girls.
It was a close competition with the top teams in each category being separated by just a couple of points.
Many hours of work goes into running this event. Students thought of and planned their modules, assembled equipment, made the marking schedule and gave up their holiday to run it - well done!
Congratulations to Louis Wallace and Quinn Foley-Smith who placed third in the 10-13 Years class.
