Penny Munro —

Term 2 has started off well with a trip to the University of Canterbury and Lincoln University on the 4th May. It was an informative trip where students and parents had a tour of the campus, a look around the faculty of their choice as well as a visit through two Halls of Residence.

Despite a very early start the Otago Tertiary Day was a very productive day with students attending mini lectures across a range of courses both at the University and the Polytechnic. Students also looked through the many Halls of Residences. The next career event sees Year 11 students attending the Year 11 Pathway Expo in Timaru on the 17th May.

A reminder that career information is available on the new Geraldine High School Careerwise platform. This has information about career events, scholarships, universities, polytechnics and jobs.

Many year 13 students are wanting to know the timeline regarding applying for Halls of Residences and courses, this can be found via this link and students will receive information at school along with reminders.
