Ms Pidduck —

Our senior students have just been given a leaflet summarising NCEA. If you want to know more about it yourself, have a look at the link below. If you have any questions about NCEA, feel free to email Suzanne Pidduck who is the NZQA contact within the school. Her email is s.pidduck@geraldinehs.school.nz

If your child is sick and doing an NCEA assessment, can you please make sure you let the school know that your child is ill so we can take that into account in relation to due dates for the assessment. If they are sick for more than two days, and doing an assessment, they will need a medical certificate to be considered for an extension. Your child will need to bring it back to school with them when they return and give it to Ms Pidduck. If there is any problem getting in to see a doctor please us know.Term 2 is a heavy assessment term for many of our senior students and they may need your support to help organise and prioritise their workload. If you think they might need some extra help from someone in the school, contact their dean or Whānaungatanga teacher and let them know.
