Year 11-13 Derived Grade Exams

NCEA —

Students will have their practice exams in the last week of term (18th-22nd September). These exams are important for a number of reasons. Most importantly, if your child is sick for the real exam, it provides us with evidence of a grade which we can use to replace the exam they miss. It also gives students a chance to practice and see where they are at. For our students who are aiming for an academic prize at the end of the year, these results will contribute.

All Year 11-13 students are on study leave during this time. They can come into school to study and the library has been put aside for them as a space to work. Students may be able to see their teachers during study leave but they need to arrange this in advance.

We do expect students to wear their uniform during the exam and if they are traveling on a school bus. If they are coming in to study, they are allowed to be in mufti.

The exam timetable is below. We do expect our students to be at school 15 minutes before the exam. If your child is sick on the day of the exam, could you please ring the school as soon as possible so that we know that they are away. The Friday of exams has space for a catch up, if they are away sick earlier in the week.We wish them all the best.
