As well as your core subjects of English, Health and Physical Education, Maths, Social Studies and Science you choose options. You do two options in each half year. 

Soon, you will be asked to choose five options and we will do our best to give you four of them.

If you are in Year 9, you must choose at least one Arts subject and one Technology subject.

Arts subjects include: Art, Art: Alternative Processes, Drama, Music

Technology subjects include: Design and Visual Communication, Digital Technology, Foods , Hard Technology

Sometimes choosing which options you want to take can be difficult. Some people who can help with this decision are:

• Your Whānaungatanga teacher

• Subject teachers

• Older students who have already done an option
