Mrs Sarah Foley-Smith —

Another firewood day done and dusted

Thanks Moffitts for donating the wood. We need a high adult:student ratio and once again our fabulous parents have stepped up to help out - many for the 3rd time. While raising the money is helpful, it is actually worth far more in terms of parents working alongside their children, hanging out with mates and enjoying the banter. Although it is hard work, it's actually not a bad day out. A massive shout out to Ryan Chambers who needs to be an honorary student for coming along to all our fundraisers for the last 2 years.

Being able to process so much wood (at least 80 cube) would not be possible without the continued support from Muzza Prentice & Temuka Transport, Trevor Leech and his elevator, splitters from Moffitts, Ed Body & Muzza, the super parents on the chainsaws & splitters: Trevor, Phil Ward-Smith, Craig Chambers, Glen Smith, Suzie Beck, Ruth Goodwin, Don Squires, Muzza & Jeff Moffitt.

Highlights of the day included the phenomenal number of U turns by all the male drivers in finding the farm, off roading in Ruth's car- Haden Paddon would have been impressed with our lap through the river, Lachie's muscles being down graded as Unya & Mrs Foley-Smith push Ruth out of said river- in waist deep water- this was followed by skids that any boy racer would be proud of!! Jason & Taylor's heroic effort on the saws, discovery of the splitting dream team of Robert, Patrick, Tom, Unya, Glen & Fairlie Bake House pies. Whats not to love.

Still plenty of wood for sale:
