Year 9

Code: 9DVC

DVC is problem solving and practical design using a wide range of graphic communication methods.

At Year 9 students learn to develop and clearly communicate their ideas through freehand sketching, formal pictorial drawing, multi-view orthographic drawing and model making. This is enhanced by rendering and presentation techniques using a range of modes and media. Further development of student’s technological literacy will also be an integral part of this course.

DVC leads on to a very wide range of futures, for example, architecture, product design, advertising and media design, and all of the trades such as building and engineering.
