Past student success
Past GHS student Matthew Hornsby has been invited to the Golden Key Honour Society. This invitation is offered to the top 15% of students worldwide based on their university marks for the previous year. The Golden Key Honour Society's was founded in 1977 to recognise academic achievement among college and university students. It enables members to realise their potential through the advancement of academics, leadership and service. They focus on community service and members have the opportunities to get involved in their communities. Leadership opportunities are also offered both locally and internationally. Matthew's family and the school are very proud of his achievement.
Matthew will attend a ceremony at UC on 28th May. He has been enjoying the Big Give programme and the High Achievers programme from last year up at UC. He has been to Willowbank to work in the Kiwi enclosure, planting out plants, painting playground equipment, shoveling dirt and filling in potholes, rubbish tidy up and the Husky Dog programme. He has really enjoyed these experiences and it will help him with his leadership and community service.
