Head Students 2023

Koefi, Olivia, Aidan, Charlotte

Kia ora e te whanau,

We are Koefi Brown, Olivia Chapman, Aidan Christie and Charlotte Marriott, your Head and Deputy Head Students for 2023.

We all feel grateful and privileged to be your Head Students for 2023. Our goal this year is to promote a positive student culture within our kura.

As a Student Executive we have collectively chosen the whakatauki for our school this year to be Whaia te iti kahurangi which translates to being your best. To us this means striving for your highest personal potential, challenging yourself, escaping the ordinary and Whaia te taumata: Pursue the highest peaks.

This year we challenge our student body to be their very best and uphold our school values. We wish you all the very best for this year.

Arts Leaders 2023

Kia ora everyone,

We are Georgie Rowley and Elle Fraser, your awesome Arts Leaders for 2023.

Together, we are so excited to have been chosen for this role and hope to bring our own experiences throughout our seven years at Geraldine High School to make this role our own.

We are extremely passionate about any and every art form and realise their importance in shaping our school’s culture. From the important NZ Music Month to the iconic annual VIBES show, our goal is to have a larger involvement and to provide opportunities for students to show their talents in the arts.

Through the support of our amazing mentors, committee and fellow exec members we are sure that this year will be full of exciting art and cultural events, so we hope you look forward to it!

Nga mihi,

Elle and Georgie

I am honoured to take on this role in 2023 and excited to see what it has in store. Let’s have a miharo year.

Sports Leader 2023

Ryan

Kia ora koutou,

I am Ryan Chambers, the Sports Leader of Geraldine high school for 2023.

I feel very privileged and excited to be taking up the role of sports leader for the year. Aside from my own sport, my biggest passion is seeing others exposed to sports, their enjoyment and consequently their progression and successes. My intention is to provide engagement opportunities for those who are new to sport while giving existing sportspersons the opportunity to grow their knowledge and skill sets.

I look forward to what 2023 has to offer!

Ngā mihi nui,

Ryan
