Speed Skating Celebration

Grace W had a great weekend of skating at the Tour of Timaru (25-26 Jan).  A 50 year celebration of the event saw skaters from around NZ, the USA, China and Australia participating.  Grace competed in the A Grade Ladies Event and took out 3rd place overall.  (To put that into perspective, the 1st and 2nd place getters are going into year 13 this year.  Grace is in year 10).  

Grace came away with an amazing set of racing wheels worth nearly $500 and a cash prize on top of that.  The wheels are highly sought after as they are top racing wheels coming out of Germany, and are difficult to get hold of.
