Former TWA Megan Isherwood recently attended the Upper South Island Regional Championships and qualified for the Nationals Championships in 2025
The four Mid Canterbury Special Olympics Swim Team members pictured above are Trevor Nash, Dominica Cotter, Megan Isherwood, and Ella Gardner.
They won 7 medals competing at Jellie Park, in Christchurch over the weekend of August 31st and September 1st.
Nish, Cotter, and Isherwood won two medals each, and Garder one.
Swimmers competed in freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke 25m events.
They swam against teams from West Coast, Nelson, Marlborough, North Canterbury, and Motueka, It was a T2 qualifying event and a total of 65 swimmers took part.
We are super proud of what Megan has achieved out of school, Special Olympics is available while your child is at school and beyond.
