Geraldine High School Sports Committee

At Geraldine High School we believe that sport is a great vehicle for students to develop not just their physical ability but also a number of soft skills (communication, team work, collaboration, negotiation, problem solving, leadership) that will serve them well in life after school. Sport also brings communities together. On this note, we are looking for some of our community members to join our GHS sports committee. 

The GHS sports committee would be attempting to promote sport at our school ensuring that all opportunities are explored and catered for. This includes quality coaching and support (management) provided to our students in the sports of their choice, barriers that students and their families face (transport, funding, communication, expert coaching) are removed and positive forward thinking approaches are applied. 

Providing the best possible resources here at school equips students so they can reach their personal excellence and represent their school with pride. The hope is that this committee would have representation across the sporting codes and include students, teachers, parents, coaches, managers and sports administrators with a wide range of skills to promote GHS sports.
