Gateway & Careers — April 9, 2024
Year 13 students are in the process of completing their C.V's along with setting up their Real Me identification which is needed to apply for StudyLink (a student loan and/or allowances).
A small group of students attended the Careers in Trucking expo on 13th March in Christchurch and found out about a range of different pathway options, including mechanics, logistics, engineering, driving, health and safety, logistics, dispatch and service technicians.
Otago University did a presentation to year 12-13 students on 28th March and we have the following pathway events to look forward to:

The Gateway students are now in the process of getting organised for their work experience placement with the wonderful support and help from our Gateway Co-ordinator, Sally Houston. Most students have now started their individual learning programmes ranging from mechanics, hair and beauty, teaching, building, civil construction, dentistry, pharmacy and flying.
