On the 4th of March the Senior girls A volleyball team played in the Aoraki Girls Volleyball tournament that was held in Timaru. 

It was an early morning start as we all met at 7:40am and departed from the school. We arrived and got straight onto the court, warming up and getting ready for our first game against Mt Hutt College. It was a good game to warm up with as we won 2-0. 

Our second game was against Opihi College. We knew it was going to be a bit more of a challenge compared to our first game and had to set ourselves up for another win. We got some good blocks and spikes during this game, which led us to another win. 

After the game against Opihi, we had a break. We refreshed ourselves, had heaps of water and food, and got ourselves ready for another tough game. 

We then had the semi finals against Roncalli, our toughest game yet. This was a close game, but we came out with a win 2-1. Now, we knew our last game was going to be intense, as we were versing the other Girls Geraldine team. 

Although we wanted a friendly game, we also knew it was going to be competitive. Blocks, spikes and sets were good, which led us to our last win, winning 2-0. Coming away from this game we were proud. We had won all 4 games we played and all utterly happy, but also tired and sore.
