Sustainability update

Near the end of Term 3 the Sustainability team organised a week of activities. Amongst this was a trip to the Ecocentre in Timaru.  We learnt a heap of things, played some recycling games, got to see the natural water filtering system behind the centre and had a good look around the Crow’s Nest.  

There was also a cleanup of Kennedy Park during one lunch hour.

We had approximately 30 students turn up to help out. There were plenty of sustainability group members as well as other students who were keen to get involved.

We collected 1 large red bin of rubbish and half a yellow bin of recycling. It’s great to be able to make a positive impact in our local community!
