GHS International Academy update

What an amazing start to the year for the GHS international department. We have welcomed students from Germany, Japan, Brazil and Thailand. Each coming to us with a different focus. Some to study NCEA, some for our world class outdoor education programme and others to experience the pure beauty of New Zealand and all that it has to offer.

We are so lucky here at GHS to be situated where we can reach the whole of Canterbury in one day. We are able to enjoy the quiet tranquil town of Geraldine and venture into the hustle and bustle of the city within a few hours. Our students experienced Sumner beach, a hidden gem just 15 minutes from the city yesterday. Can you remember the first time you saw sand? One of our students had never felt sand on her feet before!

Our students have been busy settling into student life, making new friendships and enjoying the relaxed way of New Zealand education.

I have been busy meeting agents, some that we have existing relationships with and others that are being welcomed into our school for the first time. We have also welcomed Principals from Japan and teachers from Thailand. We value our relationships with each and every one of them.

As the international programme grows we are still looking for new host families to join our team, if you would like more information please reach out. We would be happy to talk you through the process.
