Cultural Trip To China

The international department of Geraldine High School has been working with the representative of One World Education Association and we are excited to share a unique opportunity offered by this organisation to our students.

In July this year, One World Education Association is organizing a trip to Beijing and Hong Kong, China for a group of students from various schools across New Zealand. 

We are now seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from students who would like to join this trip.

Here are some important details:

1. Students must have a valid NZ passport (If your children's passports are going to expire in 2024 or early 2025, please make sure to renew them just in case) in order to apply for a Chinese visa before the trip.
2. The estimated cost of the trip is $4,000 per person, which includes return flight tickets, insurance, Visa and an administrative fee to the One World Education Association.
3. All other associated costs incurred in China will be covered by the One World Education Association.
4. The travel schedule is expected to be between 8th and 19th of July, 2024.
5. The places for Geraldine High School are limited due to participation from other schools in New Zealand. The One World Education Association has the authority to decide which students can join the trip in July.
6. Geraldine High School will provide staff or teachers to supervise our students during the trip.

We are currently collecting information to gauge the interest of our students in this July trip. If both the parents and students are interested, please provide the following information to international@geraldinehs.school.nz

• The student's full name
• Parents' full name
• Parent’s contact phone number
• Email address

We will forward this information to the One World Education Association, and they will contact you individually to provide application forms and inform you about the status of your application.

Please note that this is an expression of interest only. We are currently collecting information to assess who is interested in joining this camp, and therefore, how many student places to request. We apologise for the short notice, but please send expressions of interest by Friday, 16th of February 2024.

Once you have been contacted by the One World Education Association, they will provide further information and answers to any additional questions you may have about this trip.
