The Student Council had their first meeting for 2019 on Monday the 18th of February. This was a chance to meet, share ideas and get started on planning the year ahead. We have a vision of creating a driven and passionate Student Council that will promote student voice, build relationships between all year levels, and make a difference at the school and community level.
With a range of students from different year levels and skill sets, the students spend the first meeting getting to know each other better, and understanding their role in Student Council. This year our council leaders are writing their own role description for the following committees; Community, International, Student Welfare, PTA, Year 7&8, Social and Finance. This will enable all students to be able to gain a better understanding of their responsibilities for the year.
We are all looking forward to working with the students, staff and wider Geraldine community as well as achieving our goals.
