Riccarton Exchange

We took 6 teams up to Christchurch to compete in our yearly exchange against Riccarton High School in week 6 of this term. All teams competed extremely well and some great matches were had. Congratulations to all that participated and well done on winning 5 out of the 6 sports and bringing the prestigious trophy home.

Tournament Week

We had 6 teams head off in week 7 of this term around the South Island to compete in tournament week competitions. The results are as follows:

  • Girls Rugby placed 4th in the U15 Girls Rugby tournament.
  • Girls Hockey placed 15th in the Jenny McDonald's Cup.
  • Boys Rugby placed 2nd in Div 3 in the Rural Livestock Ltd tournament.
  • Boys Hockey placed 3rd in the Coach's Cup tournament.
  • Football placed 6th in the NZSS Linwood tournament.
  • Netball placed 28th in the A Grade South Island Secondary Schools tournament.

Well done to all teams who represented Geraldine High School exceptionally well!

South Canterbury Soccer Prize Giving

Congratulations to Teagan Marett who received the Youth Female Player of the Year Award at the recent SC Soccer Prize Giving.

Geordie McCully was nominated for the Youth Male Player of the Year and Karma Gyeltshen was nominated for Senior Mens' Player of the Year.  Neither received the award but it is a great achievement to be nominated.

The 17th Grade were placed 2nd in the competition and also 2nd in the Youth Cup.

Well done to all these students on their achievements. 

SC Rep Selections for Football

Congratulations to Marcus Furrer and Finn Goodman who have been selected into the SC Representative 15 Football Team recently.  Well done boys.
