Chords & Keys

Our first music event of the school year! Come enjoy a variety of solo and group performances from our Year 11 - 13 music students.

After its debut in 2020, Chords & Keys is back; bringing you a wide variety of musical performances from a range of musical styles. Last year's event featured everything from an original psychedelic composition, to post-romantic piano pieces; and everything in between.
Chords & Keys is the first of three musical events in the Geraldine High School calendar. Later in the year, we will be bringing you: Mayday, a celebration of original and existing New Zealand music; and the GHS MusicFest, which will be a culmination and showcase of all of the musical groups at our school. All of the profit from ticket sales will go directly toward purchasing equipment for our school's music department. Performers and songs/pieces for our 2021 event will be:

  • Gracie Snow, Reuben Evans, Hamish Hydes, Lincoln Walker and Caleb Harris, performing ‘Hotel California’ by The Eagles.
  • Connor Henry and Charles Henry, performing ‘Tears in Heaven’ by Eric Clapton.
  • Saskia Finlayson-Hood, Abbie Collins and Lloyd Herbert, performing ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit' by Nirvana.
  • Matthew Clarke, performing ‘Wild Horses’ by The Rolling Stones.
