School Closed the afternoon of Friday 9th September (week 7; Term 3)
Dear Parent / Caregiver
The PPTA (teachers’ union) has advised the Geraldine High School Board of Trustees that teachers will be taking a Paid Union Meeting on the afternoon of Friday 9th September. After careful consideration, the Board has decided that, due to the unavailability of staff, it would be impracticable for students to remain at school in the afternoon.
In this instance, it would assist the Board if students returned home at 12:45pm on Friday 9th September. If alternative arrangements for care cannot be made, the school will provide supervision for any students who do need to remain at school during the afternoon. All buses will leave school at 12:45pm. It is expected that all junior students (as seniors will be doing Exams) who normally travel on the buses will leave at this time. If any bus students are not returning home at this time they will need to bring a note to Mr Rogers or Miss Knowles as some bus routes may not run again at 3pm.
