Hello from the other side of the world ...
I don't know if you'll still remember me all that well, but about 5 years ago I came to Geraldine as an exchange student from Luxembourg and attended Geraldine High School for a Term.
The other day I was going through some old pictures and thought about it again and I just wanted to let you know what an incredible time I had during those three months. I'm not sure I ever thanked you properly but it was one of the best experiences of my life and I still think about it often.
I'm in college now, one year away from my Bachelors Degree (hopefully!), but occasionally I still wear my old Geraldine High jumper and it always makes me smile because of all the happy moments it reminds me off.
So again, thank you so much to Mrs Doy and everyone else at Geraldine High, for making my time there so amazing, and being as kind and supportive and welcoming as you were. It meant more to me than I could say at the time, and it still does. It's definitely one of the things that encouraged me to keep travelling, trusting that even in seemingly scary and far away places, I could always find people to make it worthwhile.
Best wishes from India, Peru, Mexico, Norway, Haiti, and every other place I visited over the last few years,
