Aoraki Junior Tennis

On Friday 23rd November we took 4 girls to compete in the Aoraki Junior Tennis tournament.

Molly Kate Morrison and Amelia McKeown came 2nd in the doubles format of the day.

Amelia, Brianna Howell, Molly Kate and Jessica Furrer came 2nd in the teams event.

Well done to the girls.

SCPSSA Athletics

On Tuesday 4th December we took a team of 9 students to Timaru for the SCPSSA Athletics Championships. We had a great day out and the sun even came out too which was amazing.

Emma Becroft was the stand out of the day. Emma broke the SCPSSA Open Discus Record by 3m throwing 28.3m. Emma also won the Over 12's Age Group 100m (with a time of 13.6s), the 11+ Age Group for 200m (with a time of 28.3s), High Jump (1.35m Scissor Kick) and Long Jump (jumping 4.36m).

Emma was also part of the Girls' Relay Team with Ella Waldron, Charlotte Harding and Kristen Schoneveld which placed 2nd (57.8s).

Ella Waldron came 2nd in the U12's 100m (14.6s).

Well done to all those who competed.  It was a great day.

Swimming

Congratulations to Ben Gould on being selected in the 2019 ParaFed Canterbury Junior Academy. Ben is one of just 15 swimmers in Canterbury who were selected.

Well done Ben.
