Shouting from the rooftop (now we have one)
A well earned roof shout celebration at the Speights Ale House!!
Friday afternoon saw just over 100 people turn up to join in with Gibbons and Gibbons Naylor, celebrating the iconic construction milestone of the roof completion of Stage 1 of Nelson Junction.
In reality, the Roof Shout was the coming together of all the different jigsaw assemblers that will eventually form the overall puzzle. With the visionaries (Gibbons team), the puzzle designers (Design Consultants) and puzzle site managers (Gibbons Naylors, Nelson Civil and Fulton Hogan) along with all contributing pieces (Service and Trade providers).
While the instigation of the event is all about the completion of roof, there are still many facets at play in regards to the overall development, including loads of planning and design, resource consenting and building consent amendments happening behind the scenes. Negotiations with council, as well lengthy negotiations with the end tenants of the building also continue.
None of this hard work is going to waste though, as we see a project progressing exceptionally well, on track for scheduled completion and with costs scrutinised every which way, we are seeing efficiencies and wins continue across the board, making for a smooth project to date.
The finishing touches to the stellar tenant line up continue with some exciting discussions well progressed, and just when you think the market search has been exhausted, something new comes out of the woodwork for contemplation, and the jigsaw puzzle begins again as we try to pull it all together to deliver an exceptional development to the wider Nelson/Tasman regions.
Well done and a big thanks to all involved to date, both internal and external. A great afternoon had by all on Friday.
