Welcome to our special 140th Anniversary Celebration...

Ladies & Gentlemen, 

Life Members; Social Members; Partners; Players; Committee & Visitors... welcome to our 2024 140th Club Anniversary celebration.

Tomorrow is the warmup to what will be a fantastic weekend of fun, catch ups, tall tales, and great rugby. Saturday, we play a full draw against our old foes from across the saddle. We will celebrate those games with a night of music and yarns which follows on from the traditional prize giving. Then on Sunday we will wind into a lazy Sunday session. 

We have over 270 registrations for the weekend and I would like to thank you all for attending. 

As you all can see the club is in fine spirits, both on and off the field, and this is all down to hard work put in by the committee, coaches, managers, players, sponsors and supporters. I also must acknowledge the juniors who are fielding 22 teams this season – biggest in Otago by a long shot!

This weekend is all about telling those tales from yesteryear, re-living those glorious tries, nail-biting sideline conversions to win games, and generally re-live the glory days of years gone by – or just catch up with your mates!

It is no mean feat achieving 140 years of legacy, so enjoy celebrating the event – and I look forward to catching up with you in the club or on the sidelines this weekend.
