A reminder to please advise the office if your child is going to be late or absent as class teachers aren’t always able to check emails before class starts.

 Student absences can be advised a numbers of ways; leave a message on our absence voice mail (Ph 817 0032); by text (021 241 7337); send a message via our school app, or by going to our website (www.geis.school.nz) and entering the details in the absence section on the home page. Please remember to advise the school by 9.00am if your child is not attending school as this allows for cross checking with our classroom teachers. All unexplained absences will be followed up with an automatic text message asking parents/caregivers to contact the school to confirm the absence.

LATE TO SCHOOL

If students arrive at school after 8.45am they must go straight to the office to sign in before going to class.

COLLECTING CHILDREN EARLY

If you want to collect your child early please send a note to the class teacher and/or phone the office ahead of time. If you need to collect a student during lunchtime it is important that you advise prior to 1pm as we are unable to locate individual students during lunchtimes. Students must sign out at the office before leaving the school grounds.
