The school council and our council subcommittees are in full swing.

School spirit committee have some great ideas for lunchtime activities and the fundraising committee are looking into the local charities that we will be supporting in Term 2.   It is all very exciting.  This newsletter we introduce George Foster, Bridget Simpson, Emma Burger and Isiah Tulisi.

George Room 3 Councillor: I am from England, my family have been in New Zealand for three years.  We went on holiday to England last Christmas. My hobbies are drawing, writing and reading. I like to read books about Space. I think GEIS cares about its students.

Bridget Room 4 Councillor:  Outside of school I am a horse rider or also known as an equestrian. I go horse riding at Horsemanship Academy NZ. My favourite horses to ride are named Duncan and Rocky. I enjoy going fast and showjumping, but I do not like dressage as much.

Emma Room 24 Councillor:  I am 12 years old.  I love playing netball, doing gymnastics and going swimming.  I have two younger siblings - a brother (Levi age 7) and a sister (Harper age 3). I love animals, especially rats.

Isiah Room 31 Vice Councillor: I have three siblings, one attended GEIS.  I like playing fortnight and rugby league. I am a fan of the Brisbane Broncos. I love that GEIS has a lot of opportunities for me and I have been involved in kapa haka, sports camp and NZAIMS.
