Introducing Te Henga Mini School Class and Vice Councillors for 2022

Congratulations to the students who have been elected from Rooms 18 - 25 to represent Te Henga mini school on the school council this year. Read to find out a little more about them.

Room 18: Darius Raymond - Class Councillor

Hi my name is Darius Raymond. I am 11 years old.  I love making new friends every opportunity I get.  I am also very curious and ask a lot of questions once a while. I like running around, playing sports especially football and for some reason I take my lunch bag with me almost everywhere I go. I am very happy to be on the council this year and will be working hard to do my job well.

Luca Enna - Vice Councillor

Hi my name is Luca. I enjoy soccer, gaming and hanging out with my friends. I am 12 years old and have a dog called Maggie. I am very happy to be Room 18's Vice Councillor which allows me to represent my class and help get their views heard. I am very grateful for this opportunity.

Room 19: Charlotte Pringle - Class Councillor

Hi my name is Charlotte and I’m the Class Councillor in Room 19 for 2022. I am 12 years old, turning 13 later this year. I was born in Auckland and live with my parents and two younger siblings in Waima, both of my siblings go to Woodlands Park School. I have only a few relatives in New Zealand, most of them live in either Britain or Hong Kong. I play the violin and piano, and I am learning both Cantonese and Mandarin. I also do swimming and dancing and am trying to put my full effort into them every single day. I love trying new things and giving things a go. I enjoy doing any creative activity such as art and always strive for my best. This year with some of my friends we have been making crafts and selling them at the Titirangi Market which we have really been enjoying. My goal as Class Councillor is to get more confident at speaking to a wide variety of people and stepping up to my roles this year. I am very excited and grateful to be Room 19’s Class Councillor this year.

Oscar Rigby - Vice Councillor

Hello my name is Oscar Rigby and I am 12 years old.  I was born in Auckland and raised in Glen Eden. I have 1 younger sibling and I also live with my parents, my dog and my cat. I play soccer with my best friend and we both play for West Auckland.  I love ancient history, Rome, Egypt, and other countries. I also love insects and other animals.

Room 20: Molly Moore - Class Councillor

Kia ora! I’m Molly.  Being Room 20's Class Councillor to me, means to represent my class well, and to make sure my class' voices are heard.  I love swimming, reading, and writing. I’m playing water polo for the first time this year, which I’m really excited about. I live with my two brothers, and parents in Titirangi. We also have a cat named Cornflake.  I am looking forward to contributing to the GEIS culture.

Daniel Noronha - Vice Councillor

Kia ora, my name is Daniel Noronha. And I am proud to say that I have been elected to be the Vice Class Councillor for Room 20. First of all I would like to thank my class for making all of this possible. My dad is of Indian origin, and my mum is Samoan. I have a sister who is a year younger than me, who attends Fruitvale Primary school. I really like mathematics, and am enjoying reading the Wings Of Fire series. I also enjoy playing chess in my spare time. What I really want to achieve as a Class Councillor is to help encourage others to do their best.

Room 21: Mathilde Stephen - Class Councillor

Kia ora, my name is Mathilde Stephen and I am the Class Councillor for ruma rua tekau ma tahi.  I live in Titirangi with my mum, dad and three pets. I love to read, write and hang out with my friends. I think it's an honour to work on the council for 2022. 

Archie Ryan - Vice Councillor

Hi my name is Archie, I have 9 pets, I have a twin brother, a sister and another brother. In my spare time I play video games and I like food. I also like going to the dairy. I like walking my dog, I really like going to school and seeing my friends.

Room 22: Max Roebeck - Class Councillor

Kia ora, Talofa Lava and hello, my name is Max Roebeck. My goal as a Class Councillor is to help make Glen Eden Intermediate a better school and place for every student. A big hobby of mine is sports. I love everything about it and in particular football is my favourite. My favourite area of learning at school is Maths. My nationality is NZ Samoan and German and I live in Titirangi with my mum, dad, older sister and my cute dog Roxy. I am enjoying representing Room 22 this year.

Anja Pritchard - Vice Councillor

Talofa lava, Kia Ora, Kiaorana my name is Anja and I am happy to be selected as a Vice Class Councillor for 2022. I am from Samoa and New Zealand. I am very passionate about family, friends and sports. I live with my parents and older sister. I went to Freyberg Community School in Te Atatu.  I am happy to represent GEIS at Sports Camp and NZAIMS. In my free time I enjoy bike riding, surfing and love baking. 

Room 23: Ieuli Vui - Vice Councillor

Talofa lava my name is Ieuli and I am 12 years old.  I live with my mum and two siblings.  I went to Prospect Primary School.  I play the piano and I play netball and soccer.  I like learning about new cultures.  I am looking forward to developing my leadership skills as part of the school council this year.

Room 24: Alivia Afamasaga - Class Councillor

Talofa Lava, I am Alivia Afamasaga. I am the oldest out of 7 kids. I have four sisters and two brothers. I think I am a very good student and I love helping people with their work. I love sports, baking, drawing (Art), reading, singing, and my favourite subject is writing. I would love to help with anything I can in my classroom and around the school.  

Kaleb Sobieszcuzuk-Strickland - Vice Councillor

Kia ora, こんにちは, dzien dobre, I am Kaleb Sobieszczuk-Strickland. I would say that I am a very good student and I love to help out. I love Insects, especially ants, bees, wasps, and termites (I keep lots of colonies of ants started from single queens).  My favourite subject is mathematics. I play two instruments - violin and piano - and I am in the concert band. I am so honoured to be one of the Class Councilors for this year and will do my very best to do as much as possible to help GEIS.

Room 25: Beau Buchanan - Class Councillor

Hi my name is Beau and I have been chosen to be Class Councillor for Room 25. In my opinion I am a very good friend and student and love learning new cool things at school. I have three cats that are loved and blessed with a beautiful home. I have lots of hobbies - cricket, soccer, tennis and squash. I’m also very musical, I play the piano and drums and am really coming along with both instruments.

Thomas Brown - Vice Councillor

Hi I’m Thomas and I’m the Vice Class Councillor in Rm 25. I live with my Dad, mum, sister Anna and my dog Geordie. Some of the things I like are gaming, hockey, walking, reading and watching movies with my dad. As a Class Councillor I want to make sure that people make the most of opportunities and make sure that the school runs smoothly.
