Lots of people love to read and none more so than the Glen Eden Intermediate 2021 Kids’ Lit Quiz Squad. Their noisy excitement in the van going to the venue was a clear indication of their pure joy to participate in this major international event. Two GEIS teams competed amongst 55 other Auckland teams in a contest of knowledge about literature as well as literacy skills. 100 questions were asked, some easy, and some not so easy. Cash prizes, Whitcoulls vouchers, pride and prestige were up for grabs as students wracked their brains to questions such as, “Who is the author of Treasure Island”? 10 categories; 100 questions in all; what a feat! 

Congratulations to each of the squad members as they spread the love and benefits of reading to everyone else, now, and in the future.
