Recently a group of students headed out to compete in the West Auckland Interschool Chess Championships, and we achieved some outstanding results.

With over 100 students from across Waitakere vying for the title of West Auckland Champs, our students had their work cut out for them. Over six rounds, our students showed focus and skill. 

Our Team A achieved an awesome result of second place, and now have qualified to compete in the National Championships in Palmerston North in September.

Team B was hot on their tails- placing third overall.

Also noteworthy; Caitlin Feasey received a medal for finishing undefeated on Board One.
