Read&Write Parents session

admin GEIS —

Tuesday 11th May, 6pm - 7pm, GEIS Auditorium

Amy Russell and Sara Badawi, the Learning Support Coordinators at Glen Eden Intermediate School, would like to welcome parents along for an information evening on Tuesday 11th May  to learn about a software tool called Google Read&Write.

All students have full access to this tool to support their learning journey at GEIS, and it is currently being used in most of our contributing primary schools as well as at Greenbay High School.

Read&Write works as a ‘toolbar’ in conjunction with familiar tools such as Google Docs and web browsers. It offers a range of powerful support tools to help students gain confidence with reading, writing, and inquiry learning.

We know the success of such initiatives relies on a collaborative approach between whānau and teaching staff and so would love to share with you how the range of features work so you can continue to support your child at home with their learning.

We are looking forward to meeting you all soon.

All students at GEIS have full access to Google Read&Write to support their online learning. This works as an extension through Google Chrome and provides tools to meet the needs of different learners, right across the curriculum. For more information click on the following link:
