Our focus since our return to school this term has been on supporting the wellbeing of all our students and staff. We have been monitoring workloads and avoiding unnecessary extra pressure. For this reason, we have delayed the writing of our traditional mid-year student progress reports until the beginning of Term 3. Classroom teachers will be writing these reports from Week 1 to Week 4 of Term 3, which will include a report writing Teacher Only Day on Monday, 10 August. We are aware that Year 8 students will probably require their reports when enrolling at high school, so priority will be given to getting Year 8 reports out first to parents/caregivers on Monday, 17 August.  Year 7 reports will follow on Monday, 24 August.

We will not be holding Student-Led Conferences this year but, if parents/caregivers have any concerns about their child's progress that they need to discuss, they are welcome to email the class teacher to organise a meeting.            https://geis.school.nz/about/our-people
