Many of these tragic events are, of course, preventable.

Rotary New Lynn, in conjunction with Drowning Prevention Auckland are staging a fun event on Saturday the 27th of March.
From 1:00pm to 3:30pm, in the atrium in front of the New Lynn Library, there will be conversations about water safety, trying on life jackets, sausage sizzle, raffles for a life jacket, information pamphlets, and more.  All welcome.
